Relief supplies for Cape Town's Joe Slovo fire victims

Archbishop Thabo Makgoba celebrated the 32nd anniversary of his ordination on Pentecost Sunday with a visit to people at the Joe Slovo community in Cape Town who lost their possessions in a fire on Holy Saturday.

He broke away from his sabbatical leave to oversee the handover of supplies donated by the Motsepe Foundation, the Makgoba Development Trust and Hope Africa.

With the help of the Motsepe Foundation and the Mothers' Union, residents received blankets, two-plate gas stoves, gas cylinders and toiletries.
