Jer 23:1-6 – Woe to bad shepherds – I will raise up good ones!
Rev 1:4b-8 – He made us to be a kingdom, priests serving his God and Father, to him
be glory and dominion for ever and ever – I am the Alpha and the Omega
Jn 18:33-37 – Jesus before Pilate ‘are you the king of the Jews?’ ‘What is truth?’
May I speak in the name of God, the Father Almighty, who has raised his Son to be Lord and King, by the power of his Holy Spirit.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ; dear people of God of the Church of the Reconciliation, Mannenberg; dear confirmands, families and friends, let me say again what a joy it is to be with you today.
The feast of Christ the King is a very lovely occasion for a Confirmation – I hope that it will make this a day to remember.
