NELSON Mandela turns 95 today. It is a milestone few would have dared to imagine when he was admitted to hospital 41 days ago. The past six weeks have been mournful, maudlin and even macabre at times as the country, and indeed the world, have prepared for a future in which one of the greatest leaders of all time will no longer be there.

Pretoria - Anglican Archbishop of Cape Town Thabo Makgoba has left the Pretoria hospital where former president Nelson Mandela is still in a critical condition on Tuesday.
Early reports that SABC TV and radio presenter Vuyo Mbuli died of a heart attack were untrue. Mbuli had two large clots which resulted in pulmonary embolism.
